Use the official mobile route

Yes. On a phone or tablet, use the browser game at openfront.io; it runs without a download and shares the same servers and players as Steam, including matches between Steam players and players on phones.

Native iOS and Android apps are planned separately. The announced destinations are the App Store and Google Play, with the mobile work funded by the Steam release.

Open the official OpenFront product listing to verify the named no-download browser route and cross-platform pool before continuing on your mobile browser.

Current access versus planned apps

Current official routePlanned native route
Open openfront.io in a mobile browser and play without downloading a build.Separate native apps are planned for iOS and Android through the App Store and Google Play.
The browser route joins the same server and player pool as Steam, so phone and Steam players can meet in a match. The native mobile releases are described as future work rather than the current browser build.
Use the explicitly named openfront.io route instead of treating an unrelated app-store listing as the current build.Look for the announced App Store or Google Play release when the separate mobile port becomes available.
