Balance the shared population pool
Population is one pool divided between troops and workers. Troops fight and occupy territory, while the workers left in the pool support economic growth.
Maximum capacity combines a diminishing territory component with City bonuses. Every City level adds a fixed 250,000 to troop capacity.
Use the troop bar and growth number as your timing signals. Growth peaks near 42% of capacity, so wait after a large send and resume controlled expansion as the army returns toward that band.
The visible growth number is green while you approach the strongest growth rate and turns orange after you pass the sweet spot and growth begins slowing.

Population timing questions
- How should I split population between troops and workers?
- Favor troops while Bots remain in a first free-for-all, then let the bar recover so workers can support gold and the next structure. A quiet map can support more workers, while a dangerous border requires enough troops to resist an attack.
- What tells me to pause or resume expansion?
- Pause after a large commitment and watch the growth trend. Green means you are still approaching the strongest rate; orange means you have passed the sweet spot, so use controlled claims instead of emptying the army.
- What should I do when population keeps reaching its cap?
- Add a City level. The extra 250,000 capacity reduces the current army's share of the new cap and can restore growth headroom.
